Perfume is a female fashion essential goods, proper use can increase women's confidence and charm. But if you excessive use of perfume should pay attention, research has confirmed, excessive use of perfumes may be a sign of clinical depression.

According to a new study in the Annals of Family Medicine, the number of people suffering from chemical intolerance as contained in the fragrance more and more. Some people will show an overreaction though only exposure to chemicals in relatively low amounts.

The researchers conducted a survey of 400 adults to determine the chemical tolerance. Know as much as 2 percent of participants were diagnosed medically intolerant to chemicals.

“Some people may be more sensitive to chemical exposure than others, perhaps because of genetic reasons or simply due to constant exposure to low levels of chemicals that cause intolerance from time to time,” said David Katerndahl, MD, study author and professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio.

People with chemical intolerance are also more likely to suffer from heart problems, bronchitis, asthma, pneumonia, sinusitis, hypothyroidism, autoimmune diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, allergies and panic attacks.

In addition, a study showed that people with chemical intolerance are also more likely to be at risk for depression.

As reported, prevention, Tuesday (08.28.12), patients intolerant of chemicals most often exposed to chemicals from the use of perfumes or cleaning products household. Perfumes contain chemicals in sufficient quantities to sustain a long-lasting fragrance.

So for people intolerant to chemicals, beware of the use of perfume as it can increase the risk of allergies, health problems and depression from the effects of constant panic attacks.


Note: When spraying perfume, be sure to use it sparingly. Excessive use of perfume isn't attractive and does not improve your hygiene, despite popular belief.
