Molinard Habanita – New women perfume

One of the most traditional houses perfumísticas born in Grasse is Molinard. It was founded in 1849 and in 1920 moved to Paris. Four years later launched Habanita, the eau de toilette most important in its history. The bottle-black color and embossed-nymphs called Beauty and was created by Rene Lalique.
In 1988, the "nose" of perfumers Roure School, Habanita relaunched. And it is no coincidence. I think this oriental fragrance family represents something very specific that happened during those two decades that came to the fore. Then we will see why.
Perceived au Debouche (from the bottle) is warm and sweet alicorado by peach notes. But when I apply it on the skin, Habanita "shows claws". The combination of pink and sparkles ylan-ylang smell of rubber. Within minutes, it may seem a little burnt rubber, perhaps leather that holds as base note. However, almost half an hour later, I can say that it does seem a typical eau de toilette, 'tamed' with apolvadas vanilla. Just here appears softness.
In the 20's-product of the horror of the 1st World War modesty and sobriety were sidelined for living life fully. The woman, who had hitherto been relegated to the house (preferably seconding as wife of a wealthy lord), now showing in a socially and sexually active role. Not only flirted, wore his hair to his legs and showed garçon, but also playing outdoor sports, began to vote and go to universities. Years in which figures flashed as Virginia Woolf, Colette and Gertrude Stein.
In the 80's this process is completed the female lead alongside men and women with business and political officials. Not to mention menswear worn by women: pads, blazers, pants, makeup traits hardens and plugs to see the world from above.
Habanita symbolizes that woman: engaging, ambitious, heady and strong willed, but always feminine.

This is the real deal. If you want to smell the true uncompromised spirit of the Oriental fragrance, look no further. A tart fruity opening blasts with leather and iris. Violets and benzoin emerge to bring you back to the Victorian era. The drydown is firmly planted in the present. Sweet leather, amber, patchouli, and sandalwood create the air of a dark and dramatic niche masculine fragrance. Not unisex in the traditional way, this manages to be both masculine and feminine, and comes off as sexy on both sexes.

Recently reformulated but still widely available online for next to nothing. Get it before it's gone - this is niche quality at Dana prices.
